Chloé Das Neves is a multidisciplinary artist who explores the body and its visual representations through drawing and movement. Her practice is a conversation between the immaterial body (Body-Image) and anatomical structure (Somatic), and how we can keep track of this ongoing dialogue. Probing the materiality of memories, she uses the methodology of palimpsest to document the ephemerality of the body in motion. Through fragmentation, reconstruction and assemblage, her work recreates histories of bodies in space. After studying fashion design in France, she obtained an MFA in 2022 at The Margate School as part of the European programme.

Now based in London, she developed a solo performance ‘Faire Corps’ as well as a workshop structure ‘Palimpsest Bodies’, during the ‘Year of Making’ residency programme at 40Clarence Mews in 2023. She has now been a workshop host with Synonym Lab since 2024. She also hosted and performed at the Horse Hospital in December 2024 for the embodied evening ‘Beer Can Votive X Palimpsest Bodies’ - Embossing/Drawing workshop & Performance.

Alongside her personal practice, she has worked with artists and designers on movement direction, set design and art direction, notably with Eirinn Hayhow Fashion - Movement Director and AD LFW shows (SS22/SS23/SS24) // Sarah Cottrell - Set Design Assistant, for ‘iwoyi: within the echo’, nominated for the Circa Prize 2024 // Buket Yenidogan's short film for ‘Dear 2050’.
